Jaga Ginjal Indonesia and RS Abdul Radjak Salemba Host World Kidney Day Commemoration

Jakarta, March 7, 2026 — In observance of World Kidney Day, Jaga Ginjal Indonesia, in collaboration with dr. Abdul Radjak Salemba Hospital, held a special event on Saturday, March 7, 2026. The event took place from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM WIB at the hospital's auditorium in Central Jakarta. It was attended by the President Director of the hospital, Dr. Ali Martomo, along with his staff, and the Expert Staff of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen), Dr. Mariman Darto.

On this occasion, Dr. Mariman Darto expressed his full appreciation for the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by both parties. This partnership is committed to implementing educational programs on kidney failure prevention in schools, ranging from elementary to high school levels.

"The health of our students is a primary focus for the Ministry. We hope this collaboration not only proceeds smoothly but can also be expanded to all regions across Indonesia," he stated.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ali Martomo emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle for all age groups. According to him, awareness of kidney health must be instilled from an early age to prevent kidney failure in the future.

The event, themed around kidney disease prevention, was attended by approximately 100 participants, including kidney failure patients and their caregivers. In addition to the educational presentations, a Q&A session was held to enhance the participants' understanding. The activity aimed to encourage the entire community to care more about kidney health.
